pressure differential. Ribs create a very open
structure. The
result is a valve is capable of venting several hundred cubic feet of air
per minute under as little as three pounds per square inch of differential air
pressure. An entire dry suit can be vented in a matter of seconds. The resulting
valve is consequently a very safe exhaust valve.
